Rules

Please don't flush baby wipes

Please do not flush baby wipes down our toilets OR down your RV and into our septic system. Even if they claim to be "septic safe". There is no such thing. If it is not toilet tissue or waste, don't flush it! If this continues to be a problem, we will have to raise our prices in order to offset repair costs.

Directions to our Location!

Please take a look at our directions on our website, stillwellstore.com. We are located 46 miles south of Marathon off of Hwy 385 then left on FM 2627, just outside of Big Bend National Park. We are not located in the town of Alpine proper, despite what our address may make you think. We do not recommend using a GPS.

Cancellations and Refunds

Camping/RVing is an outdoor experience, therefore we do not give refunds due to the discomforts of nature, weather or for early departure. No refunds after check-in. Please provide 72 hours notice for cancellations from April to October. All cancellations from November to March require 7 days notice. In the event of a No Show, no refund will be issued. All refunds are minus processing fees and the cost of doing business.

Water

We are on a well and water is a precious commodity, folks. RVs** We don't allow people to fill their tanks. If you need use of our water, register for a site that includes it. Tent Campers** The sink in the laundry room can be used for washing dishes, etc.

Check in and check out

Please check in at the store upon arrival. Check in is from 1-7pm. Check out is at noon.

Your responsibility

Management and owners are not responsible for damages, injury or loss to persons, pets or property. Guests and visitors agree to use the Park at their own risk. Owners are legally responsible for their pets and ANY injury or loss caused by their pets. Stillwell's Store and RV Park, the Owners, the Management or the Staff will not be held responsible for any injuries to pets, their owners or others in the park.

Quiet time

Quiet time is from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. Please be respectful of those trying to sleep. Please do not sit there with your vehicle idling.

Wifi and Cell

There is no cell phone service here. The closest signal is roughly 15 miles away inside Big Bend National Park. The Wifi here is limited. It is available from the porch and is suitable for checking emails, etc. No downloading or streaming. Pretend it's 1985 and enjoy things other than having your phone in your face.

No dirt bikes, ATVs, etc.

If it's not street legal there is no point in bringing it here.

No drones

No drones, we like quiet and we like privacy.

Pet restrictions

All pets must be on a leash and are NOT to have free run of the campground or to be left unattended. This is an area with rattlesnakes, coyotes, bears and many other critters that are dangerous to your pets. Pick up after your animals. Do not bring your pets in the store or museum.

Fire

All fires are to be in a designated fire container, no exceptions. Wood fires are currently banned.

No washing vehicles

Yes, we know, your vehicle/motorcycle/trailer/RV/jetpack/spaceship or however you travel most likely got dirty on the way down here. Your visiting the desert. That's just how it is. We are on a well and cannot allow the luxurious consumption of water many are accustom to. There will be a $25 charge minimum if caught washing vehicles. Please, just wait until you get to an actual carwash or home.
